The RWTH Aachen University has more than 45,000 students (as of 2018/2019), making it the largest university for technical degree programmes in Germany. Of these 45,000, almost 8,000 come from abroad. RWTH Aachen University has 9 faculties, 260 institutes and 7 special research centres. However, they not only offer technology degrees, but also humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine and dentistry.
